A few days in our bit of the Peak District

Our stay was wonderful. There really are no negatives. The location was superb, and the property was well designed for so many guests — the furniture and fittings were all of a very high standard. In comparison to other equivalent properties we looked at, Lane Head Barns was exceptional value for money.

We booked Jason's beautiful house for a large family group spanning ages 1 to 65 — it had everything we needed, from a walk-in downstairs shower for the elderly to travel cots and high chairs for the babies. The enclosed garden gave our dogs a safe place to potter about, and Alton Towers is just 10 minutes down the road. Thank you for a wonderful stay — we'll be back.

We really liked the house and it worked well for the wheelchair. We enjoyed our stay in your lovely house, and some of the things we liked out of the games here as our own — the sock game was our favourite. Thank you for our welcome basket!

We had a super family break at this property. The views were stunning, and we were lucky enough to have incredible weather — we did BBQs every night! Very well equipped and well furnished, and Jason is super responsive.

We had a wonderful stay at Jason and Angela's barn and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Jason was an exceptional host — friendly, welcoming, and always quick to respond. We were greeted with delicious homemade brownies, fresh farm milk and a basket of high-quality snacks, which was such a thoughtful, generous touch.

We have really enjoyed our time at Mixon View. It is in a very picturesque and peaceful location, and has everything you will need for a great holiday. Thanks for the complementary goodies on arrival.

A really lovely bank holiday getaway — the outdoor area at the back overlooks the fields, perfect for eating al fresco. We walked to Thor's Cave and along the Manifold Way, then around Tittesworth reservoir after lunch at the Lazy Trout. Couldn't recommend Mixon View more highly.

We arrived on a clear, sunny Friday evening, welcomed by the baas of the local sheep. Overall the stay was perfect, brilliant little barn, and the owners were very polite and diligent.

Lovely property, very well stocked — you can tell these guys have thought it all through. The complimentary items were heart-warming, the wifi was great (they have Starlink), and the courtyard is pretty. A good blend of peaceful, private, and home-away-from-home. Easy check-in, easy check-out!

Such a beautiful property — a bit in the middle of nowhere, which was exactly what we were hoping for. The views were even better than the pictures show, I loved seeing all the sheep everywhere. It was so peaceful, and the bed so comfy that I slept better than I have in ages.

We are leaving with wonderful memories made with our family and parents-in-law. The peaceful quietness, the sound of the wind in the trees, and the stunning farm scenery were truly healing for us. We also loved the farm-fresh milk — it was so rich and delicious! The unique landscapes of England are so different from Japan's beauty, and they will stay in our hearts forever.
